University Community Transformation Centre (UCTC) continues to assist in distributing food aid to students from Majlis Agama Islam Negeri Melaka (MAIM) and MYDIN MITC Melaka, recently. Mr. Rizalman, a representative of the Secretariat of MAIM handed out a total of 139 food packs consisting of biscuits, instant noodles, drinks, and other dry food to be given to Muslim students who are staying near to Melaka and Cyberjaya campus.
UCTC also received food packs and hygiene kits provided by MYDIN MITC Melaka for students who are staying in on and off-campus accommodations. Among the items received are cartons of mineral water and other beverages, biscuits, Milo products, instant noodles, and toothpaste. UCTC extends its gratitude to MAIM and MYDIN MITC Melaka for this assistance, which helps the community to face this health concern. UCTC also plans to establish an official food bank in an effort to help the community to get their good and daily necessities.
MMU Students Stranded on Campus Receives Meals and Basic Necessities amid MCO

A total of 200 students stranded on MMU’s campuses during the implementation of Movement Control Order (MCO) starting 18 March 2020. Through an initiative by Student Affairs Division (STAD), the students received meals and basic necessities for them to get through this challenging time.
The initiative was supported with the support of donors namely Yayasan Food Bank Malaysia, Nandos Chicken, Kembara Kitchen, Pusat Zakat Melaka, TM MSC, Abdullah Initiative, OUM and many more in supporting students’ needs in Cyberjaya, Melaka and Johor. On top of that, STAD also distributed food items to international students who are living near campus. The organiser was also thankful to the donors and volunteers who came forward to ensure the students’ welfare is taken care of.
